Our school is an Infant School for children aged four to seven years. Children are admitted during September in the academic year in which they become five. Children transferring from another school are admitted provided there is a place in the appropriate year group.
Admissions arrangements for children with disabilities
We welcome children with disabilities at our school. Arrangements for the admission of children with disabilities are carried out in consultation with parents, the school and relevant agencies. Any special provision needed for them is referred to by the school.
Our School Accessibility Plan is available in the school office and further details about admission of children with disabilities are included with this prospectus.
We have excellent links with our local preschools and staff work together to make sure your child has a smooth transition into school.
There are a series of visits to the pre-schools by the Headteacher and other key staff. The children at pre-school also join us for different events during the year. We have a meeting for new parents during the summer term and your child’s class teacher will arrange a visit to you in your home at a date and time that is mutually convenient before they start school. This gives the child and yourself a chance to get to know the teacher in surroundings where you feel comfortable.
