Netley Marsh is a vibrant learning community where everyone is encouraged to push themselves and not give up, even when things seem tricky. Mistakes are valued as an important learning opportunity and everyone is encouraged to practice to be the best they can be. This helps to develop resilience and establish a positive attitude to foster life-long learning. Our learning skills underpin the curriculum, which has been carefully planned to meet statutory requirements whilst offering exciting and engaging (and where possible) first hand experiences.
As a small school (in numbers and space) we value strong positive relationships across the school community where children, staff and parents quickly get to know and understand each other. Everything we do is underpinned by living our Christian values of Love, Compassion and Respect.
We make optimum use of our space – during the school day learning is taking place everywhere; in the corridor, the library, the staffroom, the hall and of course the classrooms. We love learning outdoors (whatever the weather so always remember to bring a coat) in our outside classroom and doing ‘explorers’ on the field. Our Year 2 children undertake a Forest schools type learning experience with the other Year 2 classes in the Federation which is always popular (and often wet).
We look forward to offering you a warm welcome to Netley Marsh and working together with our children to make the world a better, happier, healthier and safer place.
