To be successful in today’s world, children need to develop the skills to become independent learners.

Ethos and Aims Federation

Recognising its historic foundation, the Schools within the Oaks CE Learning Federation will preserve and develop their religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at Parish and Diocesan level. Each School aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. We encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience we offers to all our pupils. We will:

  • Encourage children to make informed choices which will enable them to develop into physically and emotionally healthy people.  “Your beauty should consist of your true inner self, the ageless beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of the greatest value in God’s sight”.  1 Peter 3:3-4

  •  Provide a safe, caring and happy learning environment where children feel valued, confident and secure whilst developing social skills and understanding.   “Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7

  • Inspire children to become creative, confident learners who are self-motivated, enjoy school and achieve their personal best.   Whatever you do work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human beings.  Colossians3:23

  •  Support children within school and the wider community, to take responsibility for their own actions, showing tolerance and respect so they can work independently and co-operatively.   There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit gives them.  There are different ways of serving but the same Lord is served. 1 Corinthians 12: 4-5

  • Nurture aspirations and remove barriers to learning so that all children can take advantage of future opportunities.    Beware of every kind of greed; life is not measured by what you own. Luke 12:15
