It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the Swallow’s class. We have been finding out facts about reptiles, what they are, what they look like and how they move. We have been looking at lots of fact books and film clips to find out more about reptiles. The Swallows have also enjoyed a wonderful story about Leon the Chameleonthis week. Finally if you know someone that has a pet reptile that could visit our school please let the school office know. Our RE unit this half term focuses on Jesus as a story teller. We know that some story’s teach us or have a message. Today we have learnt that Jesus told stories to teach people about God, himself and the life God wanted them to lead.
We have heard the story of The wise man and the foolish man and how the wise man built his house on the rock but the foolish man built his house on the sand. We have been building strong houses like the wise man and on Monday we will try them out standing on the sand and also on the rock(Tarmac).Continue reading
Swallows class have been learning gymnastics and have learned five fantastic moves so far. The children will be working hard to create a sequence of their moves over the next few weeks. Great work Swallows.Continue reading
The Swallows have had a busy first week back at school and have thrown themselves into our storytelling project. The children have also been learning about addition and practising this in a variety of ways including rolling 2 dice and then adding the dots.
The children have been finding about quilling and have looked at the work of a quilling artist called Yulia. The children then had a go had a go at making their own pieces of 3 d art and they look great. Well done Swallows!Continue reading
