Copythorne all gathered outside to watch Mrs Daniel and Lucy Baker cut the ribbon to officially open the new Copythorne trim trail. The children were very excited and managed to have a climb. ‘Great fun’ ‘loved it’ ‘my favourite was the wobble board’ ‘can’t wait for playtime’ these were some of the children’s comments. Kestrels welcomed parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles to their Explorers Quiz. They had to work in teams, like Bertie Bee to answer the questions which were composed and read out by the children. Kestrels did offer their expert knowledge to help the adults answer the tricky questions. Well done to all the adults who took part, the popcorn and crisps helped! The winning team was ‘Just Us’ who won by 1 point!Continue reading

Charlie really enjoyed getting outside for P.E. this week so did Kestrels. Charlie made the children work very hard with learning about invasion games and they thoroughly enjoyed the team work.
Kestrels have been busy looking out for subordinating conjunctions. They have started using one of their favourite ones ‘because’ in their writing but really enjoyed playing this sorting game.Continue reading
