Ukulele here we go!

Kestrels had their first ukulele lesson on Wednesday. We all did very well and learnt about the 4 strings, neck, body, fret and keys. We can’t wait for the next session.

Marble Treat

April 2nd, 2019

Kestrels chose to hold an arts and craft afternoon for their marble treat. As you can see because of the lovely weather, we enjoyed working outside. We had painting, watercolour pencils, sketching, card sculpture, origami and paper weaving. Great marble treat and we got to take home all our creations.

Goodbye Miss Penrose

Kestrels said goodbye to Miss Penrose who has been teaching them for 9 weeks. They sent her on her way with some lovely messages, flowers and Lush. We wish her all the best for the future in her teaching job starting in September.

Well Done Girls!

Congratulations to our 3 girls who worked really hard representing the Oaks Federation at the football tournament today. They lost their final to Calmore but played exceptionally well and came away with a silver medal.

Red Nose Celebration

Kestrels celebrated Red Nose Day by making Red Nose jellies, they were delicious and we wrote some brilliant instructions on how to make them.

Balancing

March 15th, 2019

Today, Kestrels used their balancing skills whilst using the big apparatus in P.E. They remembered to have three points of contact and to make sure they had straight arms and legs when balancing.

Trim Trail Opened!

March 12th, 2019

Copythorne all gathered outside to watch Mrs Daniel and Lucy Baker cut the ribbon to officially open the new Copythorne trim trail. The children were very excited and managed to have a climb. ‘Great fun’ ‘loved it’ ‘my favourite was the wobble board’ ‘can’t wait for playtime’ these were some of the children’s comments. A very big thank you to the PTFA for raising the funds to buy this equipment.
